Responsible for: Responsible for software testing and quality control for all software changes/enhancements

Job Purpose:

Ensure the quality of implemented systems and changes to systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement and manage the processes for testing system changes
• Be responsible for all Testing and QA environments
• Develop test strategies across all areas of system, functional, integration and performance testing
• Plan, coordinate and lead testing activities
• Develop User Acceptance Test plans
• Develop Systems Integration Test plans
• Lead the development of Performance Test plans
• Develop and implement regression test strategies relevant to system changes
• Work closely with the Change Manager Coordinator to implement comprehensive testing for all changes due to release to production environments
• Work closely with technical teams
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders – business users, business analyst, development team - to understand requirements and ensure tests are aligned
• Liaise with business and technical stakeholders to develop test data
• Support business users/subject matter experts in the development of relevant test cases according to test plans

Required Qualifications:
• Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent
Experience:
• Two years + experience of working in a software testing environment
• Proven experience in developing and documenting test strategies and plans
• Proven experience in developing test cases and test data
• Proven experience in working with business and technical users to determine test requirements
• Familiarity with testing tools and techniques

National Animal Genetics Resources Centre and Data Bank, (NAGRC&DB) a body corporate under the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries its mandate is to take a leading role in establishing a comprehensive National Animal Breeding Programme in Uganda, wishes to recruit a Technical Manager Production.

Job Requirements:

Reports to: The Executive Director

Responsibilities:

• Production and Procurement of semen, ova, embryo and associated equipment.

• Management of genetic Resources Centre farms for production of good quality stock and monitoring performance (e.g. Milk, beef etc).

• Production for sale of founder brood stock of fish.

• Rearing of Sire Studs for production of semen.

• Production and multiplication of well bred stock for sale to the farmers.

• Promote herd-recording programmes on NAGRC & DB farms.

• Formulation of management and production information to be packaged and used in the training programs of NAGRC & DB at different levels.

Qualifications:

A Masters Degree in Agriculture or Veterinary Science or its equivalent. A postgraduate training in related themes would be of added advantage. Working experience of at least 5 years is required. Should be 35 years of age or above.

Intervention Coordinator Job in Uganda

The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is a global leader in the fight against pediatric HIV and AIDS, working in 17 countries and at 4,700 sites around the world to prevent the transmission of HIV to children, and to help those already infected.

Job Requirements:

Reports to: Director – Clinical Services

Employment Duration: 9 months

Job Summary: The Intervention Coordinator will be responsible for leading the implementation of a facility- and community-based intervention in Kabale, Uganda designed to strengthen the provision and uptake of integrated family planning/HIV services, with an emphasis on fostering greater involvement of male partners.

The intervention will be implemented as part of the EGPAF-led STAR-SW program. The Intervention Coordinator will be supervised by the Foundation Director of Clinical Services and provide supervisory visits in conjunction with the regular STAR-SW program site visit schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities: In collaboration with Mbarara-based

EGPAF staff, coordinate and provide technical support for all aspects of study intervention implementation, including:

• Act as primary liaison between health facilities, the Kabale DHO offi ce, other NGO partners in Kabale District , Foundation Kabale Program Offi cer and Foundation Clinical Services Director

• Maintain communication and gather feedback from local partners, such as AIC and Marie Stopes, on the FP/PMTCT integration and male involvement intervention package developed by EGPAF and FHI.

• Secure and maintain buy-in from relevant stakeholders for study/ intervention.

• Provide technical and administrative support for implementation of facility- and community-based intervention activities as outlined in the intervention package (e.g., implementation of trainings for health care staff and community leaders/members; introducing “male-friendly” innovations in clinics; organizing community-based events, etc).

• Ensure implementation of intervention activities according to study timeline; report obstacles to implementation in a timely manner.

• Convene stakeholders to update them on study/intervention progress as needed.

• Provide supervisory visits to facilities and intervention communities to ensure intervention is implemented as intended and provide ongoing technical support to facility staff and community-level intervention partners.

• Document intervention implementation using the Intervention Tracking Tool and submit monthly updates to staff at EGPAF and FHI

• Collect cost data using forms developed by FHI and submit to key staff at FHI and EGPAF.

• Collaborate with the project Research Coordinator in organizing a local dissemination event upon study completion.

• Work closely with FHI study staff and Foundation technical staff to develop reports, review data and assure data quality.

• Support health facilities in maintaining consistent contraceptive commodities stocks

To ensure that electronic equipment and security control systems at the Airport are in a state of good maintenance and repair so that the promised level of service can be delivered to users.

EDUCATION

A good Bachelor of Engineering degree in either Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunication and/or Computer Science. Additional specialised qualifications in the related electronic equipment/security systems will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

3 years’ relevant working experience with the ability to lead others.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Must have proven supervisory skills.
Must be computer literate.
Must have knowledge of relevant ICAO SARPs.
Must have working knowledge of computerised engineering designs.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.
Input into Strategic Planning

1) Understands focus and direction of CAA and integrate the Division fully

Aerodrome Maintenance Processes

1) Puts in place a comprehensive planned maintenance systems that ensures maximum availability of plant and equipment
2) Ensures a comprehensive response and repair time programme that maximises equipment availability
3) Be sensitive to airport security issues and understand the role and contribution of equipment under AM’s control
4) Maintains Aerodrome electrical and mechanical equipment in a good state of repair and maintenance
5) Offers these same services to Upcountry Airports Manager
6) Ensures that buildings are maintained in a good state of repair and maintenance
7) Ensures continuous serviceability and availability of all Airport Electrical and Mechanical system and pavements.
8) Ensures proper maintenance of all movement areas such as access roads, car parks, compounds, taxi ways are well maintained and there are no potholes, no cracks and no open manholes, and grounds are all well maintained and neat.
9) Maintains an adequate stocks of spares to carry out required maintenance without creating a major liability financially

Human Resources Management

1) Attracts, retains, motivates and develops staff that are dedicated to outstanding performance in the department.
2) Advises management on the Departments manpower requirements and ensures staff development within the Department
3) Develops structure that facilitates the delivery of the vision of the business through the EIA
4) Ensures that appropriate calibre of staff that meets all the hiring standards are recruited and selected to deliver results expected.
5) Implements performance management. on own staff in the department
6) Conducts and ensures adequate training for EIA staff internally and/or using outside resource personnel as appropriate

Maintains an accurate and up to date register for all revenues collected and reconciles all receipts with revenue collection summaries.
Updates /files and maintains custody of all operational files on revenues and follows up transactions therein.
Actions pending transactions and ensures that they are all cleared
Maintains and updates ASC registers and reconciles PAX figures from manifests and log sheets.
